Coco Peila is a multi-hyphenate Hip Hop Artist (Rapper/Singer/Songwriter/Producer) and Songwriting Coach known for creating music that moves the culture forward and helping world-class artists birth their most precious, purpose-driven songs.

Her work has been featured by The Kennedy Center, BUST Mag, Stanford, Yale, the International Museum of Women, and the Museum of the African Diaspora, on Elton John’s Rocket Hour and Hip Hop historian Davey D’s “Artist to Watch” list. She’s worked with Grammy-winning artists and rocked legendary venues—including The Hollywood Bowl, Stern Grove, and Teatro Nacional de Guatemala—sharing stages with Ledisi, The Pharcyde, and Slum Village.

A master cultural organizer & strategist, Coco wields Hip Hop as a weapon for joy, resistance, and power. She’s guest-taught Hip Hop Songwriting & Activism at UC Berkeley and SF State, wrote and produced a Hip Hop & Climate Justice EP for the national climate organizing project Creative Wildfire, and was selected by Women’s Earth Alliance for her visionary work as Director of Hip Hop & Climate Justice at Youth Vs. Apocalypse.
