Coco Pyhä is an electro-pop art project by multi-instrumentalist and music producer Antti Haiko from Lahti, Finland, which at its core is an exploration of the modern Finnish sensibility. Where that appears to some as silence on a lake sauna, Coco Pyhä is an invitation to travel to the unexplored corners that everyone carries within themselves.
Coco Pyhäs strongest influences are fascination with Japanese pop culture, Kaurismäki, video games and minimalism. The result is an ensemble in which the past and the future collide, as do machines and man. There are echoes of cycling through the streets of Lahti at night, as well as of hopeful summer evenings when the heart feels more than it can bear.
Coco Pyhä is above all an invitation. An invitation to wonder, to feel - to live.
