CODA FACTO

CODA FACTO is a rock band from Hamilton, Canada. Founders Alexander DeRoo and Jonathan Harley fuse Pop, Brit-Rock and Americana with vibrant vocals and lyrical stories. Their songwriting transcends the obvious; quickening the mind and heart.

In 2010, Alex and Jon met at McMaster University. Later, they would rehearse and record early demos in Hamilton at The Mule Spinner and perform in other local venues. Working regularly with producers Glen Marshall, Chris ‘‘Lurch’’ Rudyk and the late Bob Lanois of Steady Canoe, they gained seasoned insights.

Alex and Jon continue their development as CODA FACTO arranging and recording with the artful guidance of producer Carl Jennings of Westmoreland Recording Studio. The band’s name represents their music journey. The ‘coda’ is that every song’s inevitable end brings new beginnings; and, the ‘fact’ is that their friendship remains constant.

The October 2021 release of CODA FACTO’s debut EP Jamesville followed the summer release of music videos and singles “Rock ‘N’ Roll Sounds” and “Ode To Rose.” The EP includes heartfelt “She,” desperate “Sorry Not Sorry,” and anthemic “Hidden Treasure.”

CODA FACTO is releasing more singles and videos during 2022, and their sophomore EP Honey Harbour is set to present the collection.
