Blending dramatic alt-rock with moody atmospheric soundscapes, Cold Arizona is the project of guitarist Peter Scott. Formed in 2016, Scott recorded the band's debut collection in Los Angeles backed by a crew of seasoned studio veterans including drummer Joey Waronker (<a href="spotify:artist:4KWTAlx2RvbpseOGMEmROg">R.E.M.</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3vbKDsSS70ZX9D2OcvbZmS">Beck</a>), bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen (<a href="spotify:artist:3vbKDsSS70ZX9D2OcvbZmS">Beck</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0X380XXQSNBYuleKzav5UO">Nine Inch Nails</a>), and keyboardist Zac Rae (<a href="spotify:artist:0YrtvWJMgSdVrk3SfNjTbx">Death Cab fFor Cutie</a>). Initially working without a vocalist, he was introduced to Atlanta-based singer and lyricist Jennifer Zuiff, who soon became his collaborator.
