Colder Suns

Colder Suns are a four-piece, originals band who blend together lots of different influences and approaches to create varied rock music, which combines elements of Hard Rock, Punk and blues.
Our distinctive style can often be hard to categorise and specific influences aren’t always obvious.

Old Friends Ben Martin (vocals, guitars) and Redd Reddington (drums) had played together in bands as far back as 2004, and decided to work on a new project around 2017 after Ben took a break from the music scene. After adding Paul Hayes (guitars) we ended up going through a number of different bass players and vocalists trying to find that elusive band chemistry. Eventually Charlie (bass) joined the band and Ben picked up vocal duties, and everything clicked.

Our aim has always been to try and do our own thing and play the music we love and like listening too rather than aping other bands or jumping on the “what’s popular” bandwagon. All of our songs are written with a real emotional angle and we try to create connections with the listener around common introspective thoughts and feelings that we hope people can really relate to beyond the obvious stuff that has been done to death.
