ColdSweat started in 2001, with guitarist Keith Schroetlin and drummer Travis Christiansen at Wayne State College. Both of them had aspirations for something greater and started asking around to complete the lineup in the form of another guitarist, bass player and singer. These spots were soon filled and the ColdSweat lineup was formed.
Several years later, ColdSweat parted ways with their singer and subsequently released a 3 song EP entitled, Roach Soldier-1. Shortly after, a new batch of songs were recorded in another 3 song EP entitled, Roach Soldier 2. ColdSweat was in the process of writing new material and continued to rework old songs as well to gear up for another album.
ColdSweat was still in need of another bass player and singer. Sometime after the 2nd EP was released, they added bassist Nate Douglas and singer Drew Peterson to the lineup. Douglas and Peterson had played shows alongside ColdSweat for several years and had just left their old group, Vitosus, in search of another musical avenue to pursue.
Later in 2016, Douglas departed the band to focus on family life. To fill the void, ColdSweat added long time friend, Doug Phipps to the lineup. With a concrete lineup in place and new material ready to be recorded, ColdSweat was poised and ready to release their first full length album since 2009.
