Coleman

Performing a distinct melodic trap-style, COLEMAN was born in Chatham, Ontario. Soon after releasing his first studio EP in 2019 (Money & Melodies), COLEMAN began opening for prominent artists such as Madchild and Rich Homie Quan.

COLEMAN originally started rapping in 2015, not taking it serious until 2018-2019 where he began making music on a professional level. He states that he was inspired by Lil Wayne and his strong ability to play with metaphors, acknowledging his strength in wordplay. COLEMAN is an unsigned Canadian artist and continues to write, record, engineer and distribute his music on his own (despite recording at other studios once and a while). COLEMAN later followed up his first project in 2020 with ‘State of Emergency’, a 6-track project themed around the ongoing Covid-19 Corona-Virus.

Throughout the years, COLEMAN has continued pursuing music (mentioning it is the negative followers and/or feedback that puts him into his zone, or what he calls "overdrive"). COLEMAN reflects on issues growing up, making and learning from mistakes, and coming to peace with the past. Personal growth is the ultimate goal.
