Colin III

Colin III is the music project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Peter Colin White III. It began with Colin writing and producing lofi-rock songs in his bedroom and developed into a fully fledged band The Douglases. Colin III continues to live on as a solo project where Colin records writes and produces a majority of the material.

Colin III’s sound blends elements of vintage pop, shoe gaze, indie rock, dream pop, and bedroom rock in a beautiful, lofi, almost cinematic, package. His style in broken is reminiscent of classic post punks such as <a href="spotify:artist:432R46LaYsJZV2Gmc4jUV5" data-name="Joy Division">Joy Division</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3yY2gUcIsjMr8hjo51PoJ8" data-name="The Smiths">The Smiths</a>. But he takes many of his psychedelic cues from <a href="spotify:artist:1LeVJ5GPeYDOVUjxx1y7Rp" data-name="Unknown Mortal Orchestra">Unknown Mortal Orchestra</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5INjqkS1o8h1imAzPqGZBb" data-name="Tame Impala">Tame Impala</a>. He is also heavily inspired by <a href="spotify:artist:2yDodJUwXfdHzg4crwslUp" data-name="Allah-Las">Allah-Las</a> and their surf rock revival sound. And was only made aware recently of his similarities to <a href="spotify:artist:6XYvaoDGE0VmRt83Jss9Sn" data-name="King Gizzard &amp; The Lizard Wizard">King Gizzard &amp; The Lizard Wizard</a>.
