-A high energy, genre blending, ensemble of world-class musicians, with a focus on exploration through collective improvisation. Upbeat grooves, soulful guitar work, and tight arrangements are things to expect from a Collectivity show, drawing on influences from jazz/funk, gospel, and psychedelic soul.
-Recent shows include: performing at Shanghai Stadium, Ulanchabo World Music Festival- Inner Mongolia, Jam on the Sand 2- Virginia. Anren International Music Festival- Chengdu, Touring Europe etc.
The project is the brainchild of prolific musician Ben Misterka, who has had the chance to live and tour around the world and perform on a wide variety of songs as a session musician.
The Band is currently based in San Francisco, but has a long and interesting history. Originally formed in Shanghai, China, the group had the opportunity to tour extensively, sharpening their teeth and creative vision.
