Colleen Peterson bought her first guitar at the age of 13 and began playing coffeehouses around Toronto. She later joined the folk trio <a href="spotify:artist:1SrB4BF8XbJv9LdUrDU9Aq">Three's a Crowd</a>, with <a href="spotify:artist:4sh4MHP7lhrSUakxwZzwqz">Bruce Cockburn</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3apf2LgVeOufC7NlB72gNy">David Wiffen</a>. By 1970, she was playing with vocalist <a href="spotify:artist:2XnWD4iOZlAHUJyDvtI6Qd">Mark Haines</a> as Spriggs and Bringle. Peterson's debut solo album, Beginning to Feel like Home, appeared in 1976 on Capitol.
