All of us are the prodigal, scarred by the muck of our own self-constructed exile. We are all the wandering soul, desperate to be anchored and known. We are forsaken and forgotten, longing to be chosen.
There will be that great day when we truly will be “Home,” whole in our Creator’s design, without the vulnerabilities and hurts that chip away at the core of our souls. Until then, we journey with all the baggage and challenges that come from being broken vessels. Despite all of this, there is One who meets us along the way. Perfectly suited to interact with every part of us, He is a God who is at once enthroned upon our praises and near to our brokenness.
Home: A Companion for the Journey is the story of our wandering through the ravages of life, aching for our created form found only in the Author’s original intent. With each melody, the notes themselves ring out the depths of uncertainty and the shadows we carry with us. There are songs that cry out into the storm, begging our hearts to hold on, to keep believing, “He will come.” There are songs that cradle us in the clarity and peace that come from His word, His touch, His healing, His instruction. There are songs that call out the foundations of our beings that He cements into our souls.
Come be broken with me. Come be known with me. Be healed and loved with me as we make our way, Home.
