Step foot into the quaint world of Colours in Context, a lo-fi project created by Manchester-based producer Miles Whittaker. Drawing inspiration from the stunning vistas of northern England's countryside, Miles embarked on a mission to capture the essence of ancient country roads, boundless moorlands, and picturesque Victorian-era villages through his music. The result is an emotive soundscape that contextualises mood and emotion, like the ever-changing seasons.

The project received healthy exposure not long after its launch, with notable tracks such as 2021's "Lunar" via label Sleep Tales setting the scene for what was to come next and putting Colours in Context on the map.

In February 2023, Colours in Context released his milestone self-titled debut album, showcasing the project's original concept in its purest form. The album features Spotify editorial-backed singles such as "Lilac" and "Scarlet," which perfectly capture the project's unique sound and vision. With a focus on further refining his signature ethos, Colours in Context is set to make 2023 his best year yet. Creating instrumental lo-fi that serves to tell a story sonically, and brings you on a comfortable lyricless self interpretive journey, central to that effect.
