Dance music yet melancholic, wistful yet uplifting.
Comma Period’s debut album, the soundtrack to the documentary Act Up ou le Chaos, has been released November 29 2024.
Latest single, released on July 11 2024, is Still Processing, a song about moving to the beat around the world's blaze.
Ruin Porn is the debut EP by Comma Period, released on February 20, 2024.
The 4 tracks are about the sense of not fitting in anywhere, about feeling slightly out of step with the rest of the world.
It's also about remembering damage and about ancient echoes from missing friends.
Listen while driving or commuting late at night in a city you want to run away from.
For those who don't belong.
Comma Period’s songs are filled with dystopian electronic beats, retro-(no)-futuristic escapism, cyberpunk loneliness and synthwave nostalgia for a future that will never be. A future we will never see.
Comma Period has learnt his craft by listening to everything that is electronic, from the German-British-Belgian pioneers to the more contemporary Wave artists as well as those from the Techno/Acid age.
Viviane Morrison started Comma Period after his second induced coma. He then did two remixes for French multi-instrumentalist Colleen for her Colleen – Solar / Stellar (Colleen Remixed) EP (Second Language). Comma Period has also remixed a few tracks for British Retrochic artist Alberteen (Rhythm & Noir).
