Born in Northern Germany, COMMON RICHARD, a passionate fan of British music, grew up with music as a child. He got his first guitar at the age of seven. He played in various new wave and rock bands in the 1980s as a bassist and background singer and worked as a sound engineer before the guitar disappeared into the basement locker for over twenty years due to legal studies and a professional lawyer life. Shifting between Hamburg and London, COMMON RICHARD worked for a long time as a lawyer for the biggest record companies and music publishers. Since 2014 he has rediscovered the guitar and established his solo artist project as a singer songwriter and cover artist with a focus on progressive and alternative rock.
