ICARUS, CONDUCTOR’s debut, explores an amalgam of genres and themes within its 23-minute mosaic of dreamy, experimental, aggressive, and doom-laden post-metal. Musically, CONDUCTOR feels just as at home delivering jarring blows of aggression as it does slowly descending into ambient textures and melodies, and that is apparent not only on ICARUS as an EP, but on each song they craft. The marriage of influences and passion in its creation is what makes ICARUS such an honest representation of who CONDUCTOR is as a collective. CONDUCTOR hopes that anyone who stumbles upon ICARUS will feel something from its intense 3-song exhibition.

CONDUCTOR originally began as an instrumental project in late 2017, and the collective influences of its members include many instrumental bands from across the “post” spectrum. With that original sense of direction intact, and the idea that the songs leave many details to be discovered across its collective 4 man-made instruments, CONDUCTOR has chosen to also release the instrumental version of ICARUS as an alternate take of what could have been and what is still.
