A producer, promoter, and DJ reared in DIY scenes along the United States’ eastern seaboard, the work of Connor Beckett McInerney—best known by his moniker Connector—reflects a lifelong passion for discordant and energetic sound channeled through the medium of electronic music. Combining elements of electro, acid, UK garage, and indie rock, Connector’s debut EP Scorcher is both a microcosm of his personal influences and a reflection of the sweltering pulse that defines summertime NYC, drawing inspiration from the city’s Sleaze Revival and its enduring (and unparalleled) nightlife scene in equal measure.
