Instantly; I could hear that original Connor sound but the music style was different and Intriguing. His sound is coined Electro shoegaze /Neopsychedelic; which is a sub genre of alternative rock. I never got to hear Connor sing before and was very surprised by his flow verbally. The songs all had a dark sound mixed with an industrial tone to them. It was pretty intense 2 hear pieces of rock, reggae, acoustic, psychedelia, groove, funk all mashed together with what I was used to hearing with Mellow Blend. His whole catalog has something that would spark interest with everyone's musical tastes.
To bring to the forefront, his newest EP "So Violently Fresh". At present time; consists of 2 tracks. "My Own Danger" and "Patience Is A Virtue". "My Own Danger" has it all for me personally. The song has Guitar Jam Heavy licks, dark feel and a nice steady even flow with the lyrics strung throughout in all the right places. You could definitely hear a mixture of Influences on the track. "Patience Is A Virtue" had a different flow and style completely from the other track. It's more of a bluesy garage rock type song with a slow tempo. Connor did a great job with his vocal range within this tracks. seamlessly mastering a mixture of high and low range vocals to give an almost chorus feel as if there was a backup singer involved. All in all, i was very impressed with his whole catalog and will make it a regular in my personal playlist and cant wait to hear what he has in store for us.
