ConSCious, born Calvin Jaquan Reed is an emcee from the small town of Marion, South Carolina. He began writing rhymes at age 12 and worked on his craft for years until he was able to purchase his own equipment using his student loan checks from a local community college. Since, ConSCious has released countless amounts of music and has built a local buzz in the Carolinas and surrounding areas. His song, "Stop Killing Us" was featured on Ebro Darden's Apple Music Radio and highlighted in The Source, two of of Hip-Hop's most influential platforms.


ConSCious has developed a revolutionary style and sound paired with hard hitting lyrics that paints vivid pictures of his personal experiences and the current state of society. Within his music are messages that are meant to uplift, educate, inspire, and provoke thought. Though he comes from a place with little opportunity, ConSCious is proving why he should be listed among his influences such as Common, Kanye West, Lauryn Hill, Tupac Shakur, and Mos Def.
