CONTINUAL DRIFT is an Italian rock band formed in Varese, Italy, active since 2006. The band consists of Michele Ponti (lead vocals, guitar), Nicola Pastori (lead guitar), Manuel Bazzoni (bass guitar), and Francesco Gazzi (drums).
Between 2008 and 2009, after the release of two EPs: got over half a million views on their Myspace profile.
On the 1st Febbruary 2012 CONTINUAL DRIFT released their debut album called "Reality", recorded at Greenriver Studio, Cavaria (Italy), produced by the band alongside Tancredi Barbuscia and Olly Riva (Shandon, The Fire), promoted by Valery Records and distribuited by Edel/Fontiers. “Where The Sun Meets The Blues” is the first single of the album and its videoclip has been aired on some important Italian TV channels like Deejay TV and Mediaset, affirming the appreciation of the music of the band.
Between 2012 and 2014, CONTINUAL DRIFT has embarked on the “Reality Tour” which reached numerous venues in Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
On the 15th July 2013, the group were featured on a Motörhead tribute album called “Lemmy Knows” (Ammonia Records), contributing a cover of the song “Whorehouse Blues”
On the 13th May 2017 the band released the second album “DOWN TO THE WIRE”, entirely written by CONTINUAL DRIFT, produced by the band alongside Tancredi Barbuscia and the singer/producer Max Zanotti (Deasonika, Rezophonic, Casablanca).
