Staphorst, the last place on earth you’d expect a pop punk band. Still, every week, Davic, Pim, Thijs and Marcel go to band practice with a big smile on their face. And they do that on a Sunday, while the whole village goes to church only a few steps away from their rehearsal room. You can hear the influences of <a href="spotify:artist:7oPftvlwr6VrsViSDV7fJY" data-name="Green Day">Green Day</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6FBDaR13swtiWwGhX1WQsP" data-name="blink-182">blink-182</a> and yet CONTROL really makes it their own. Energy, passion, but most importantly, fun are key. In January of 2019 they won the famed band competition Stairway to Hedon, and in July they released their first EP <a href="spotify:album:3cftybsZpdi4UgzRPt0XMI" data-name="Ready... Set... Go!">Ready... Set... Go!</a> which included a wickedly successful release show.

In April 2021 CONTROL decided the time had come to part ways. They wave you goodbye with their farewell EP called <a href="spotify:album:2RDsm7vJELPXwAhCXTQ4oT" data-name="thank you.">thank you.</a> You know, to say thank you for everything!
