CORBIN CANVAS is a multi-instrumentalist and multi-genre producer, rapper and singer-songwriter originally from Washington, DC.
CANVAS began to surface as a solo artist in early 2020 after debuting his first
future-forward, genre-pushing project titled “JIVE JIVE EP”.
This 7 track EP combined HOUSE, HIP-HOP, DISCO, FUNK, AFRO-BEAT, R&B and MODERN JAZZ all in one avant-garde yet cohesive project.
In his early life as a professional musician he attended The Duke Ellington School of Arts, home of prolific entertainer Dave Chapelle as well as, The Washington Jazz Institute and alumni of The Berklee College of Music.
Corbin shared the stage with Earth Wind and Fire, Smokey Robinson, John Legend, Martha Reaves and more at only 17 years old. Before going to college he was touring France as a professional drummer for the Duke Ellington Show Choir as a guest of First Lady Michelle Obama in 2012.
In college he began working with Celebrity Pop songwriter Kara Dioguardi as a producer, songwriter and musician.
CANVAS in a short period of time has been placed on 6 SPOTIFY EDITORIAL PLAYLIST and has been apart of BEYONCÉ’s DJ MELO-X SPOTIFY PLAYLIST and has
collaborated with Grammy Award Winning WALSHY FIRE from super group MAJOR LAZERtogether to remix CANVAS’s biggest record “JIVE TURKEY” to even more recently
being a drummer on SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL winning artist TOPAZ JONES
“DON’T GOT TELLIN YO MOMMA” album released in 2021.
