Corde Du Roi are a 4 piece progressive jazz rock band hailing from Dundee, consisting of frontman Dan Richardson, bassist Lexi Campbell, guitarist Hal Willows Ritchie and drummer Elliot Giles. With a solid and very retro based classic rock core the band pride themselves on their groovy bass lines, raunchy rhythms and intricate melodies. With influences ranging from Queen, Madness, The Rolling Stones, The Clash, Led Zepplin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Fratellis and many more artists the Corde Du Roi sound can only be described as unique yet inclusive to all. After forming in November 2020 the band played their first gig in October 2021 and since then have played venues such as Church, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, Fiddlers Elbow and many more, recently selling out their first hometown headline. With hopefully an eventful year ahead of them it is onwards and upwards for the fearsome fabric-themed foursome from Tayside.
