"The Debt Was Mine" is a song about standing before God with nowhere to hide, and finding that instead of condemnation, Someone already paid what you owed. Built around the word Tetelestai ("It is finished"), the song follows guilt to the cross and out the other side of an empty tomb. It's for anyone who has ever felt too broken or too far gone, and needed to hear that their debt is paid in full.
