António Côrte-Real is a Portuguese guitarist. In 1990 he started playing in the city where he grew up, Almada, on the outskirts of Lisbon, in garage rock bands gaining space in the local musical scene with groups like Falso Alarme, Finisterra and Sirius. In 1996 comes the opportunity to join the Portuguese rock band UHF. With countless Gold and Platinum records, and a career that was already 18 years old, UHF is one of the top exponents of national rock. Following are a series of tours, studio and live albums with UHF and Côrte-Real happens to be known as one of the best rock guitarists in the country. In 2009 he released "Ninguém Manda em Ti" with Revolta, a band that gained some notice in the local punk rock community. In 2011 he released the solo album "Midnight In Lisbon" with the support of Marshall with whom he worked exclusively for about 10 years. This album has become one of the fan favorites. Recorded live on tape in the studio with UHF colleagues Ivan C. (drums) and Fernando R. (bass). In 2012 he joins União das Tribos with whom already realeased two albuns, one ep, and a live album. In 2019 he starts to use Mesa Boogie amplifiers, focusing his sound on the new Fillmore 50 and 100. In 2023 he will launch new works with UHF, Côrte-Real Trio and Cörte-Real. Is also the producer of countless Portuguese groups in the pop, blues, rock and punk areas.
