Cortina

Cortina is a Norwegian band that started in 2001. The band consists of the brothers Henning and Paul Hansen and Vegard and Torleiv Fossum, as well as Johannes Støle. The band received great reviews for their debut album, 'Been A Long Time' in 2007. Bergensavisen wrote: "Been A Long Time" is a straightforward little gem which, when the year is summed up, will be among the best’, while Haugesund's newspaper wrote : "The pop record of all time with roots in Haugesund". Aftenposten wrote: "There is something good-natured and pleasant about their music that makes you want to seek them out again after the initial curiosity and urge to discover has subsided." In 2011, Cortina released their second album 'Sound Of A New Day', and once again they received praise from the critics. VG stated: "Norway has a lot of bands like this over time. Cortina is definitely one of the better ones". Cortina operates in the span between folk, pop and Americana.
