Corvair

Corvair is a Portland-based power duo comprised of Brian Naubert (Ruston Mire, Tube Top, Pop Sickle, The Service Providers) and Heather Larimer (Eux Autres).

Combined, Brian and Heather have created or performed on more than twenty albums, but Corvair marks the first time they have joined forces on a musical project.

The debut record and band have been described by KEXP as “a promising set of hook-filled indie-pop”, by Analogue as “the ideal pop/rock convergence,” and by American Songwriter as "dynamic and bombastic, but with infectious, subtle melodies” Threading together 70’s pop, 80’s synth rock and 90’s indie rock, with influences from Berlin-era Bowie to Blondie, Lee and Nancy to the Breeders, Corvair’s evocative power pop sounds both satisfyingly familiar and bracingly new.

The duo’s second album, Bound to Be, veers from muscular rock songs to languid pop confessionals, from stunning atmospherics to raw intimacy, held together by sharp lyrics and potent imagery.

Bound to Be was just released on Paper Walls and the cult indiepop label WIAIWYA records out of London, UK. It features Larimer and Naubert on vocals and instruments, along with Northwest powerhouse drummer Mike Musburger (Fastbacks, The Posies). Bound to Be was produced and recorded by Brian Naubert, and the drums were recorded by Martin Feveyear (Brandi Carlile, Mark Lanegan). The album was mixed by Beau Sorenson (Death Cab for Cutie, Superchunk), and features cover photography from Corey Arnold.
