Cory Antidote

Cory Antidote is a South African Hip Hop/R&B artists who began his musical journey at the tender age of 11 in 2013.
Born in the Western Cape, Cory was raised in multiple pronvinces and towns having lived with his Grandmother in Dordrecht, Eastern Cape before his kindergarten days then later moving to Soweto, Johannesburg where he lived with his Great grandmother and later Alberton where he lived with one of his Aunts. However it was only when he then moved to Rustenburg to live with his mother in 2009 where Cory Antidote discovered his love for music.
His mother had Michael Jackson and Westlife DVD's that he would watch as a child and would often attempt to emulate what the artists were doing and sing along as if he too were part of the show.
Cory's own musical journey began when his twin cousins made him listen to a song called "The Coolest" by Jaden, this also coming after his little brother was obsessed with a Justin Bieber DVD that led him to discover Jaden when the pair first performed their iconic song "Never Say Never". Having already been intrigued by Jaden's rap back then seeing him all grown up, rapping and being smooth & cool with it sparked something inside the artist. Cory began writing his own raps and the discovery of a local artists Jay Makopo through the same cousins further encouraged him to hone in on this new found ability.
