Formed in 2018, in Karachi, Pakistan, Cosmic Fluid is an experimental improvisational music and art collective currently consisting of guitarists/producers Jasir Abro and Umair Dar, Drummer/percussionist Aziz Kazi, and sitar maestro Waqas Hussain. Their sets are characterised by fluid transitions through a wide range of musical motifs and movements that traverse everything from 60s psychedelia, eastern classical, and modern progressive rock, and are often accompanied by live paint pouring sessions featuring renowned Karachi based artist Faizan Riedinger. Faizan’s art is featured on the cover of the group’s debut release ‘Purple Shmurple’.
