Cosmic Rays, a UK Rock band founded by Singer songwriter Shane Chebsey and world famous Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard have been together since 2008 and have released two original albums and one EP called "Trust The Process". Two singles from that EP "Everywhere" and Misrule were released in 2020.
The band's evolution started in 2014 with their first self titled album that had a Deep Purple classic rock sound driven by the style of original guitarist and renowned comic artist Phil Winslade.
However songs like "Shoes" and "The Grind" hinted at a slightly more dark pop sound due to the songwriting input of Bassist Kevin Darke and Singer Shane Chebsey.
When Winslade left the band on friendly terms in 2017 he was replaced by Rob McFall, an incredibly accomplished musician, who added new dimensions to the sound of the band as well as allowing other members to contribute more songwriting.
As such out right pop songs like "Me & Jimmy" with its pounding motown beat and "Hollow Tree" with its haunting New Order and The Human League inspired synths joined McFall's funk rock banger "Lost Paradise" on the second album Hard to Destroy giving it an eclectic yet cohesive quality.
The band has now gone through another transformation with new members Adam Knight on Bass, Ross Callaghan on Guitar & Keyboards, Tim Cooke on lead guitar, with Emma Murdock on backing vocals.
They are currently writing new songs and gigging locally to test them out.
