Costa Rebel is a Costa Rican musician, songwriter, producer and sound engineer certified by Avid and Berklee College of Music, known for a modern reggae sound rooted in tradition.
He has worked with international reggae and dancehall names like Million Stylez, Little Lion Sound, Bobby Hustle, Lengualerta, Kali Blaxx, Freedom Sounds, Cedric Myton, Pipo Ti and Blackdali.
His acclaimed “Uhuru Riddim,” co-produced with Little Lion Sound, unites nearly 40 artists—from legends such as Capleton, Lutan Fyah, Queen Omega, Chezidek, General Degree, Cali P, Bugle and Mellow Mood to rising new voices. Other highlights include the “Rebeldes Riddim,” singles “Alta Suciedad” (Pipo Ti) and “Caribbean Sunshine” (Mukkaround), plus EPs “Wolaba Vibes” (Bobby Hustle) and “Million Stylez Meets Costa Rebel.”
Between 2010 and 2018 he lived between Costa Rica and Switzerland, building strong ties with Europe’s reggae scene. In 2020 he stepped forward as an artist, releasing songs under his own name with singers worldwide—such as “Soldado De Jah,” “Guerrero,” “Positive Yard,” “Deja Que Te Cuente,” and the album “Elijah Prophet Meets Costa Rebel.”
His music now reaches Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, North America, Japan, Africa, India, Australia and the Middle East—blending deep roots with fresh global energy to deliver reggae that moves hearts and crosses borders.
