CounterParty’s diverse musical talents were influenced by growing up in four different countries with the U.K as his final destination. During his 15 year career as a multi-genre DJ, predominately in London’s West End and around the world, he developed his production skills as a house producer, under another alias, with tracks being played on Pete Tong’s ‘Essential Mix’ and released on many reputable labels, including S.K.T’s UK label, Stashed.

A life long love of hip-hop inspired a new production focus on a fresh urban sound. CounterParty’s new journey began on holiday in a Cuban bar where he heard the basis of what would become his new single. He returned to his hotel room and immediately started exploring this sound, editing and creating all the major elements of his new track. He wrote several tracks before honing sound with guidance from friend and producer, Highness.

CounterParty’s new musical direction was over a year in the making. His newfound groove has been infused into his first single that will be released under his new CounterParty alias. A smooth, seductive fusion of Latin horns, rolling percussion, heavy 808’s and catchy vocal hooks, “Something I Can Feel” truly feels like the start of something big.
