CQ is a Chicago-based rapper and Hip-Hop artist whose music and lyrics are motivational, self-reflective, and focused on telling stories that are true to him yet in a fun and lighthearted overtone. The artist also borrows elements from other genres such as Pop and RnB to create a unique identity for his work.
CQ has been working on his craft for several years. The idea of drafting almost poetic words and expressing them through melody was fascinating, and he pursued that skill until it started to feel natural to him. That skill is exemplary in his latest single, Write Intentions, which will also be featured on an upcoming project of his: Now or Never.
The artist has also continued to perform live to help build his fanbase. Anyone who has attended more than one of his shows will know that each live show feels unique based on the setting and the music he’s performing. Sometimes, it’s high energy with dancing, and in other cases, it’s mellow and intimate.
