It's rare that an artist can be considered a legend for decades, yet remain unknown. However, the fact is that CRACKERS is the most influential creator that you've never heard of.
While CRACKERS' origins are unclear, it is believed that the first transmission arrived via Myspace in 2005. Between 2005 and 2009, CRACKERS delivered a series of messages encoded as something resembling music.
Then came silence.
Now, in 2025, it seems that CRACKERS has returned, or in other words, CRACKERS IS BACK.
Here's what we know about CRACKERS:
CRACKERS is repetitive, derivative, noise that can only be classified as music in a legal sense.
CRACKERS makes music that sounds like it's from a video game, in an infomercial, in a fever-dream.
CRACKERS initially released 4 EPs and a single:
Crackers (2006)
Dance Tones Break Bones (2006)
Bass, Brass, and Blackouts (2007)
Good and Evil (2008)
Time to Groove [single] (2009)^
^(All records of the above were lost in the Great Myspace Crash of the 2010s.)
CRACKERS seems to draw influence from a wide array of artists, such as: Dr. Bombay, Venga Boys, Phil Lynott, Freezepop, The Cars, The Bravery, Grandmaster Flash, MF DOOM, Tycho, DJ Kool, The Polish Ambassador, Gunter & The Sunshine Girls, Dirty Vegas, Cascada, Girl Talk, Ace of Base, Massive Attack, Dschinghis Khan, Captain Jack, ABBA, Bee Gees, Eiffel 65, O-Zone, Dan Balan, MUNYA, Les Squelettes, David Wise, Eveline Fischer, Koji Kondo, Rob Hubbard, Don Veca, Josh Mancell, etc.
