Crackle

CRACKLE started off as an off-kilter collaboration between bassist Nick Doyne-Ditmas and drummer Frank Byng, that draws on their extensive experience as musicians and producers working across a wide range of traditions and practices, old and new. They released their album <a href="spotify:album:4X39YoT5wFsxo0PlaWJuUJ" data-name="Heavy Water">Heavy Water</a> through Slowfoot Records in 2008. They were subsequently offered a tour with veteran Pop/Rock musician <a href="spotify:artist:4xoV3kh3rwrWaPc17zyDyY" data-name="Barry Adamson">Barry Adamson</a> for which they enlisted Ben Cowen on keyboards who became a permanent fixture.

Nick Doyne-Ditmas - Since working with acclaimed avant-jazzers <a href="spotify:artist:65UM7L9BaxhOijGq2iof6b" data-name="Pinski Zoo">Pinski Zoo</a> in the mid 80&#39;s, has been a mainstay of the south London music scene for many years, collaborating many times with <a href="spotify:artist:2wXUKlYvdBHn2MNeRKgG6W" data-name="This Heat">This Heat</a> / Camberwell Now drummer <a href="spotify:artist:2wDSxU4XnEOY4qS4qpC7Nq" data-name="Charles Hayward">Charles Hayward</a> amongst others. Ongoing member of <a href="spotify:artist:49Isr0PHSNhquDBwhLojp7" data-name="Monkey Puzzle Trio">Monkey Puzzle Trio</a> [featuring Charles Hayward and Viv Corringham].

Frank Byng - Currently heading up afro-kraut collective Snorkel as well as performing with This Is Not This Heat, Grumbling Fur, <a href="spotify:artist:0o6EPyTKsnJM8n0INspiUt" data-name="Prescott">Prescott</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6k024FcL1qGPWu9y7Z4Mnb" data-name="Robert Logan">Robert Logan</a> and Daniel O&#39;Sullivan.

Ben Cowen - Formally one half of electronic duo <a href="spotify:artist:7npiaz23AXyR8Yyh1xniZP" data-name="7 Hurtz">7 Hurtz</a>, and also currently plays with <a href="spotify:artist:5AotAd3EL66zqhg7FCtBS7" data-name="Snorkel">Snorkel</a>, Morcheeba, Woven Entity, The Woodentops, <a href="spotify:artist:6k024FcL1qGPWu9y7Z4Mnb" data-name="Robert Logan">Robert Logan</a> and Vibration Black Finger.
