Craig Abaya was born and raised in San Francisco, California. He is the son of Philippine immigrants and was raised in a highly diverse and open environment. He was encouraged not only to pursue high standards in education but to explore many creative outlets. He is a former program director at San Francisco State University and is currently a filmmaker, photographer, musician and has worked with various celebrated artists including Elton John, Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell, Sergio Mendes, and many more.
His most recent musical collaborations have included the duet “Q&A” with world champion turtablist, DJ Qbert, and “Circles” with Matt Malley (Counting Crows).
Craig serves on the New Media Council of the Producers Guild of America and is a Recording Academy voting member.
