I began rapping at the age of 12 by competing in local talent shows. I was raised by a single mother with two sisters and one brother in Murfreesboro, TN housing projects. At age 17, I received my first independent recording contract and wrote as well as recorded the single Malcolm X Like A Father To Me under the name MC Nubian and DJ Ricochet with Dr. Betty Shabazz as a co-writer. It was a learning experience, even though the company finally ended because of financial reasons. As a result of this, I enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University to pursue a music business degree.
During that time, I released a E.P. called Take It 2 The Man. The E.P. helped establish a name for me locally. Three Years later the album, The Year Of The Pantha, was created. Yes that means I have formed my own Independent record company. I wrote all the lyrics and produced the tracks. My objective is to let the world know that there is a real Pantha out there who is ready to Take It 2 The Man. Next, I formed a group with DJ Rob, Ricochet, named Diametric Connection and released the album called T.I.M.E. dedicated to Hip-Hop. Then came another Crazy Pantha album called Behind Enemy Lines. It's an uptempo conscience album with tight beats and lyrics. Check out the new album WARTIME. This is a political hardcore street album that's telling my Hustlas and Soldiers to wake up!
