During his sophomore year of high school, Creative-Jay began to share his experiences as a member of the immigrant community. In that same year, (2013) Creative-Jay took first place in a state-wide talent competition hosted by University Celebrity and was named a finalist in the Hip Hop Category for the New Mexico Music Awards.
Creative-Jay is the first in his family to graduate from college. In addition to speaking about day to day experiences, he advocates on behalf of the low-income Latinx community by sharing his story as an undocumented American. His involvement became his muse, which led him to create and release his first album in 2014, “Music Breaks Silence”. The 14 song album features artists from Santa Fe, New Mexico, offering different styles and speaking out on crucial issues within the community.
Creative-Jay took a pause from music, but after four years of uncertainty, self-doubt, and self-discovery, Creative-Jay released a mixtape titled "4 Years". The mixtape is available on most streaming services.
