Credence began to form in early 2024 as a Melodic Death project envisioned by vocalist and founder Antonio Stefanov, first carrying the name “February’s Death.” With the arrival of guitarist Elitsa Georgieva and bassist Georgi Tsvetanov, the project took on new shape and spirit, eventually emerging as Credence and moving steadily toward the heavier, more introspective realms of Death/Doom.
Their earliest rehearsals echoed through rooms in Kyustendil, where the band’s first ideas settled into place. After creative differences led to parting ways with their original drummer, guitarist Vasil Lazarov and drummer Nikola Velkov joined, completing the lineup and allowing Credence to fully channel the sound they had been reaching for.
