<a href="spotify:artist:77kOe5Qq4nd4vRYOwYbZyh" data-name="Randal Prater">Randal Prater</a> currently writes and records with <a href="spotify:artist:0k8XxRC9ylYO3gMcByD8XF" data-name="The Shy Reserve">The Shy Reserve</a>. He was in two bands before going solo (Creeping Myrtle, <a href="spotify:artist:2lFPJ2R8T858yUlIHjWjmv" data-name="The Pagan States">The Pagan States</a>).
This project had Randal at the helm along with a plethora of performers along the way. It started off with an EP called 'Bead' (Track list: 1. <a href="spotify:track:3gv7qrXkw31SIP7I18diaN" data-name="Iris Ingenue">Iris Ingenue</a>, 2. She Wanders, 3. Spectator). He played all the parts himself on this one. The follow-up EP called 'Peculiar' (Track list: 1. <a href="spotify:track:3gMOuFf5JdA1aeJe99fiKN" data-name="Dooms of Love">Dooms of Love</a>, 2. Waveform, 3. Hallowed) featured Erin Claussen on vocals on tracks 2 and 3. The third EP was called 'Corduroy' (Track list: 1. <a href="spotify:track:5oSiaXpJ2VEiuqAR8fasV1" data-name="Sometimes a Kiss">Sometimes a Kiss</a>, 2. Becoming Very Still, 3. Cherry Maple, 4. Auralsoak) and featured Gary Hunt on drums, Peter Sawtell on guitar, and Brian Willett on bass. The three EP releases later were morphed into one compilation album called <a href="spotify:album:6GMUYLaYKEmOqhy2XaemOo" data-name="Kindergarten">Kindergarten</a>.
The next album was called <a href="spotify:album:0WWgjM0uC6WM8EIEfAWP2m" data-name="Ode to the Urchin">Ode to the Urchin</a>. Randal recorded this one himself, along with Gary on drums. Pete contributed acoustic guitar and piano to <a href="spotify:track:3Nv6Qxlr31ArVgvgqT43mT" data-name="Step in the Sun">Step in the Sun</a>. The live band consisted of Randal on vocals/guitar, Gary on drums, Pete on guitar, Mark Watson on bass, and Tim Stach on keys, guitar, vocals.
The final album was called <a href="spotify:album:4RIPUOweSWd2rTRRObDZ4o" data-name="Devils in the Details">Devils in the Details</a>. Randal (vocals, guitar, tape loops) recorded this one at Tim's (bass, keys, guitar) studio along with Mike Troupe on drums. <a href="spotify:artist:3DYuPGUaCO7qSjRuYFzWFi" data-name="Simon Hinkler">Simon Hinkler</a> from <a href="spotify:artist:4SAdMucvHyws4QTeAUsPtE" data-name="The Mission">The Mission</a> played lead guitar on <a href="spotify:track:2GZuWfPomxrNBl66vBgkAM" data-name="A Cooler Stream of Heaven">A Cooler Stream of Heaven</a> and Erin sang backup on <a href="spotify:track:0IHizYMLA3wXccoXeTU4SQ" data-name="Glassworks">Glassworks</a>.
