Criminal Hero is a rock project founded by Rick Harkness, born and raised in Toronto, shaped during time spent living in Detroit, and now based in Vancouver, Canada.

Built on rhythm and forward motion rather than heaviness, the music draws on a classic rock lineage while remaining stripped back and controlled.

Early releases gained traction through Spotify Radio and repeat listening, with support from Plastic Magazine, The Big Takeover, and Obscure Sound, as well as an on-air mention from SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk.

The project unfolds as a four-single arc leading into a full record. The third single, “She’s To Blame,” shifts inward, moving from external energy to a more restrained, psychologically charged tension.
