After several years of touring the four corners of Quebec with unique and energetic performances, and following the release of their very first EP, Need a change EP , in 2019, the “Saguenéens” band Crocodile Country Rock strengthens its identity and announces the release of its first album, Long Gone, on April 29, 2022. In this new opus, the quartet of experienced musicians delivers music laced with rock, blues and country influences.
For Fred Tremblay (vocals/guitar), Sylvain Tremblay (bass), Yves Cormier (guitar/vocals) and Pierre Bouchard (drums), the release of this album is a real accomplishment in their musical career. “All bands aspire to make their own songs and put on shows where people come to listen to their compositions. It was something that appealed to all four of us, and we worked together towards this goal,” explains Fred Tremblay. A new step, a natural evolution that confirms Crocodile Country Rock’s trajectory.
“ For the album, the song lyrics are mainly inspired by our experience of returning to our hometown after being away for years ”, explains Fred. “ Everything seems different, things have changed during our absence. We end up realizing that we have probably changed as well. There is a story to piece back together with the people we grew up with, where we are in our lives. That can’t be done without deep reflection and soul searching.”
