From the turmoil’s of his troubled past, Crook Guam's music emerges from a dark twisted shadow infused with hard, raw, and jagged edges. His music and style is authentic and real adamant to the demands of pop culture, but reinstating who he is as a musician and artist. His turbulent beginnings from the small island of Guam, started being involved with the criminal justice system at the young age of 15. Having even been labeled as a “Career Crook” by his judge after a slew of troubles with the law, his stage name “Crook” took its first breath. This was when he would find a relationship with God in order to start making money legitimately. His aesthetics and creative mixes of sounds that he has cultured from using inspiration from all spectrum's of rap culture. The collaboration of West Coast rappers with East Coast beats, Gangster rappers with pop tracks, Southern rappers, and Southern beats, all go into the creation of his music. If his past doesn’t write enough for itself, he takes it to a poignant and direct level of approach. Starting to rap at the age of 13 through his “bad boy phase,” was an escape from the invasion of hip hop and a relation to music on a deeper scale than what lessons could teach him. Through his environment in Guam and his exposure in Vegas, he would learn to express his pain, sorrows, achievements, joy, and everything else in between.
