After touring together for a number of years as part of The Common Linnets, scoring a number one record in 14 European countries in the process, Jake Etheridge and Matthew Crosby went back to Nashville to enjoy a well-deserved “Calm After The Storm”.
Both born in South Carolina the two had been friends for a long time watching and helping each other grow as artists individually. They never lost touch and continued to work together every so often, focusing on their solo careers.
Sometimes it takes an outsider to see (or hear) something that’s been there all along. Dutch producers The Companions happened to be in Nashville in the summer of 2023, hooked up with the boys and the four of them wrote ‘Falling’ the first day they got together.
The minute they started harmonizing on the song Jake & Matthew realized how much they had missed singing together. It didn’t take more than a minute for them to decide to release the song as a duo. And so Crosby & Etheridge became a duo on the spot.
First track to be released is their feel-good anthem ‘Falling’.
