I Crowdead nascono a Mantova nel 2017 e tra il 2019 e il 2020 pubblicano il loro primo album, Malphas, registrato all'Audiocore Studio. È nel 2021 che, con l'ingresso nel gruppo del frontman Roberto Renoffio, si consolida la formazione attuale.
Con il loro groove metal, con chiari riferimenti a Lamb of God e Machine Head, i Crowdead partecipano a diversi festival e live, esibendosi con band come Implore, Kataklysm, Sinister, Flashgod Apocalypse, Methedras e The Modern Age Slavery.
