CROWN OF COMMAND grew up during the 80’s listening to metal. The 90’s came along and the members started playing metal, in different bands, together or with others, covering different fields of the metal spectrum. From death metal and grindcore to 70’s doom, later and more recently verging on sludge.
CROWN OF COMMAND is a band that’s bringing back the thrash metal scene they all as kids fell in love with. Carrying 25 years of experience playing metal and having honed the necessary craftsmanship.
THE ART
It’s about the feeling of the riff, the power of the chorus, bass and guitar strings chasing eachother all over the place and the high pitched soaring vocals. It’s a labour of love where you will be able to feel the presence of early 80’s Accept and mid 80’s Anthrax, and perhaps a whiff of Rust in Peace-era Megadeth. One moment you will feel the scent of a Municipal Waste mosh and the next Iron Maiden’s mid range shredding. Then it transcends into something else. Leaves you smiling.
Is it a 100 % original – nope. Does it have that worn in feeling of an old beaten jeans jacket worn on top of your favourite Maiden shirt – you betcha. It’s a melting pot of references forged into something new, but still, oh so familiar.
Thrash, don’t mind if we do.
THE BAND
Crown of Command is Pål Callmer on guitar, Fredrik Persson on Bass, Erik Björner on Guitar, Fredrik Sandberg on vocals and Henrik Högman on drums.
