Oluwademilade “Lade” Apata, also known as “Crowned King” is an upcoming Nigerian Hip- Hop/R’n’B artist. Born in the southern parts of Nigeria, Lade has always had a strong affinity for music since his early years. He started playing drums at the early age of six and played the piano from time to time. He grew up listening to Hip-Hop legends like Eminem, Lecrae, M.I. as well as Fort Minor of the high-profile Rock band, Linkin’ Park. He began rapping in High school where he performed at several school stage performances. It is no surprise that he started singing in his church choir, Raised by his parents in the city of Abuja (Northern Nigeria), Lade now lives in Canada and schooled at the University of Manitoba, graduating with a degree in Theatre Arts and Film Studies. Endowed with ingenious rapping techniques and
intelligent wordplay, Lade’s works are a product of vernal and personal aspirations as well as the celebration of youthful exuberance. All that English simply means that, his songs are based on life experiences and are tailored towards subject matters that are very relatable. He’s definitely one to watch out for
