Borrowing the shiniest and crunchiest bits of '70s and '80s power pop and metal, CRX feature vocalist/guitarist Nick Valensi, drummer Ralph Alexander, bassist Jon Safley, and guitarists/vocalists <a href="spotify:artist:1k1GJDXf9wTUsqxJv40x7T">Richie Follin</a> and Darian Zahedi. Valensi is also lead guitarist for <a href="spotify:artist:0epOFNiUfyON9EYx7Tpr6V">the Strokes</a>, while Alexander is also a member of the Dose, Safley comes from <a href="spotify:artist:4YYyIRsaOdsoBWsObBEQgp">the Reflections</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:1k1GJDXf9wTUsqxJv40x7T">Follin</a> plays with <a href="spotify:artist:0Zsp7eS6zZEDnEsZaJtr7U">Guards</a>. Inspired by their shared love of <a href="spotify:artist:2BGRfQgtzikz1pzAD0kaEn">Elvis Costello</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1LB8qB5BPb3MHQrfkvifXU">Cheap Trick</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6DCIj8jNaNpBz8e5oKFPtp">the Cars</a>, they started playing together in 2013. CRX recruited <a href="spotify:artist:4pejUc4iciQfgdX6OKulQn">Queens of the Stone Age</a> frontman <a href="spotify:artist:03xb2BUdIFzuRQ6o88yfCB">Josh Homme</a> to produce their debut album, New Skin, which arrived in October 2016. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
