A musical project that expresses harmonies and improvisations influenced by Latin American folk music and contemporary jazz, and melodies with a Japanese sense of nostalgia, using acoustic ambience and an electronic approach.
Co-led by bassist Yuka Konishi and guitarist Atsushi Fukuroku, the project is based on the concept of “musical mutants” and the members are fluidly grouped for each piece.
The project name is derived from the Greek word “κρυπτοσ χρομοσ (cryptos chromos)” = “hidden color,” and expresses the wish to pursue unknown musical colors.
