Cucharas is an upcoming 5 piece Alt Rock band based in Dundee and Perth in Scotland. The group was formed in December 2019 with members Toyah Swan on vocals and rhythm guitar, Ben Connelly on lead guitar, Kirsty Taylor on keys/synth, Camilo Nicolas on bass and Mark Anderson on drums.
The group mainly have an Alt Rock sound but there are some influences from Indie, Punk and Goth Rock in there too. They have taken a lot of influences from some of their favourite artists and bands from Mogwai to The Cure.
During the lockdown in 2020 Cucharas got to releasing their track ‘Black and Blue’ which they had recently recorded in March at Perth College.
