Culvie is a Rap/HipHop artist from North Atlanta, GA and is now located near Portland, ME. At age 22, Culver was diagnosed with testicular cancer and received four months of chemo. After a long journey, he came out on top, cancer free. Since then he has dropped his first EP (Sinkin’ Since 96’), and now Culvie age 26 has released NEON$UN$ET$ a full length project, filled with 14 song, showing new and old sounds from Culvie. The end to the beginning is what it represents, the night leading into a new day.
With Culvie, every song is a vibe, a moment, or a feeling. The “Trap Jim Morrison” you could say. Culvies’s influences growing up started with classic rock and roll. Groups and artists such as The Door, David Bowie, AC/DC, and The Eagles. At the Art Institute of Atlanta he was introduced to graffiti which brought him to the underground Hip Hop. From there, the love for the genre had started. At around the age of 14 he discovered Mac Miller, who became his biggest influence in his career. From that moment on, all he knew was he wanted to be a creator of hip hop and rap music. Since then many of his influence include Caskey, A$AP Rocky, Felly, 50 cent, Da$h, Lil Peep, and many more. With Culvie you’ll have one song just chilling, to punching holes in the wall. “I just make what I feel” he says. An eccentric abstract psychedelic trap is what you will commonly hear from him.
